After receiving your order, we process and ship your order within 2-3 business days. These times may vary depending on order volumes received. Orders are shipped out between Monday to Friday, and occasionally weekends.

Shipping times:

Greater Vancouver: 3-5 business days after order is processed
Rest of Canada: 5-7 business days after order is processed

While we do our best to meet shipping estimates, actual delivery times may vary once your package is handed over to the postal service. Alala is not responsible or liable for any courier delays or failed or lost deliveries. COVID 19 may also delay these deliveries. In addition, peak shipping times, such as holidays, may also affect shipping and delivery.

Shipping rates:

Shipping costs depend on order volume and sizing of books. Products will be packed in envelope bubble mailers or mailer boxes depending on order volume.

BC: $12 + 0.50 per item
Rest of Canada: $15 +0.50 per item
USA: $25 + 50 per item

Local Pickup + Storefront Shopping

Now offering Local Pickup in Metro Vancouver at Likha Local Collective at 4360 Main St. in Vancouver. Simply choose local pick-up at check-out and you will be contacted when your order is ready (usually within 3 days). Simply provide order fulfilment confirmation at the register.

If you need a rush order, it’s best to shop in-store where we also stock select inventory of books and sari-sari items.

As a note, if you would like to ship some items and pick up others, please place separate orders.

Holiday Shipping & Shopping.

For the upcoming holiday season, please aim to order by December 12th for Expedited Shipping to ensure your gifts will arrive on time! The last day for shipping and in-store pick-up will be December 16th and not resume until January 2023.

As some of our items are sourced from US, Philippine, or other international publishers, prices reflect these factors in addition to shipping, duty, and exchange rate. We stand for providing fair and ethical pricing to do our part to support the publishers, authors, artists and other partners we work with. Shipping prices also reflect Canada Post rates.
